How often do you think about your daily routine in your French Immersion classroom?

Is it only at the beginning of the year? A new term? A new month? Do you keep the same decore for the whole year? I always found that store-bought calendars started to fall down or apart by January – if not before. Usually, we would come back, and because December was such a whirlwind the date was still some time in the second week! Not to mention, it may have been the second one I bought for that school year because parts got destroyed, lost or forgotten about. I have bought so many different styles and versions over the years and eventually, it was enough! They kept getting torn or ruined in some way. I was inspired to create my own and do a little designing … which lead to this awesome French Classroom Starter Pack! I cleaned up my classroom before I was able to take any great pictures, but I also love to see the creativity of how a little morning French corner can come together! You can literally make it however you want! All in one place or around the room as you need things.

The French Classroom Starter Pack

It started with monthly labels and number cards so that I didn’t have to keep writing the date each morning.
Then I had some students who always wanted to know “What do we have today, Mme?” so I created the schedule cards and our school cycle days (in French and English).
We love to talk about the seasons and weather in our classroom so those have also been added.
There are so many celebrations in our classroom (& in Grade 2) so I began making a master list and created small stamps for our calendar as well.
Lastly, I needed so many number cards for so many things in my classroom.
Oh! How could I forget! I also included some common French Questions my students *forget* how to say in French so I just point to the corner and ask them to try in French LOL these are non-negotiable and must be asked in French in my room!
The cards included have all been a year in the making and are all things I absolutely use daily with my students!
